Mark 1:1-8 “Preparing the Way”

As we begin working through the Gospel of Mark, the first topic we’re
introduced to is about “Preparing the Way.” John was preparing the
Jewish people for the coming of the Messiah and it called on them to
consider a radical way of thinking and living. He comes in the spirit
and likeness of the Old Testament prophet Elijah, but he introduces
something radically new. This new way of life will need to be
empowered by something more than the Law, rules and regulations, it
will need to be empowered by the Living Spirit. How is God calling on
you to prepare for what He wants to bring about in your life next?
