Mark 3:20-30 “Demonic or Different?”

In our society of ever increasing divisions, Jesus challenges us with
the question of his own ministry. In this passage we continue the
theme of God being up to something new… and actually even better than
was previous. But because of our comfort with familiarity, it is a
human temptation to defensively think of ‘different’ as ‘demonic.’
Jesus warns that in our attempts to ‘defend’ we might discover in the
end that we are actually ‘destroying’ ourselves. This is a warning for
‘kingdoms’, ‘congregations’, and ‘families’ equally.
