Message: Mark 6:45 – 56 “Don’t Pass Me By”
The disciples hadn’t really understood all that Jesus’ multiplication of the fish and loaves and the feeding of the 5,000 meant. God was in their midst in an even more tangible way than he was when his presence in the tabernacle was in the midst of the Israelite camp in the wilderness. Jesus brings this reality home to them in a vivid way when he appears to them walking on the water while a storm rages. Like them, our own fears, anxieties and attempts at control are due to our lack of understanding who and what Jesus is. Once we realize, we too cry out “Don’t Pass Me By!”
