Mark 9:1-13 “Glimpses of Glory”
The disciples were disappointed after Jesus revealed the mission of the Messiah was to die for the sins of humanity. But there was also the promise of the resurrection and ultimate victory. On the Mount of Transfiguration, the disciples will see a glimpse of Jesus glory. In the same way, though we may go through disappointments, God offers us “Glimpses of Glory.” These are moments when the ‘curtain’ is pulled back and we experience an ‘eternal moment’ that gives us a ‘deposit’ of what’s to come. These ‘glimpses’ allowed Paul to declare, “Our present sufferings are not worthy to be compared to the glory that will be revealed in us.” What are some of your ‘Glimpses of Glory”?
