Romans 2:7-14 “Sayings of Saints: St. Francis”

This week we’ll be looking at one of the wisdom sayings of St. Francis of Assisi. He encourages us saying, “Lord make me an instrument of your peace, where there is hatred let me sow love.” Peacekeeping begins not with changing minds, but with the change of my own heart toward others. In a world where everyone is trying to change one another’s minds, the followers of Jesus are called to tend first and foremost to their own change as God leads them. Our transformed lives of love and grace will be the greatest evidence of Jesus’ Lordship we have to offer. It is what will inspire others toward embracing the Ways of Jesus for themselves.
