Message: “Melchizedek: A Faithful Witness in a Lost World”

Genesis 14:18–20

In this message we’re going to explore how God calls each of us to be a faithful witness even when surrounded by a compromised world. Through the story of Melchizedek, the mysterious ancient priest-king of Salem, we are reminded that God’s presence and work always go before our arrival into difficult places. By comparing Melchizedek’s blessing of bread and wine with the corrupting bargains of Sodom, we’ll see how resting in God’s grace empowers us to stand firm in our integrity. Ultimately, we discover our own calling as a “royal priesthood,” equipped to bring justice, peace, and Christlike witness into our everyday workplaces and communities.
