This Sunday we continue a new year on the Church calendar. The Christian
Calendar always begins with Advent, an expectation of the Coming of
Christ. The 4 weeks of advent will hold the themes: 1. Hope 2. Peace
3. Joy 4. Love

Advent Week 2: Perseverance
Life offers us a strange irony. In some ways, life is short and we can
barely account for the time. But in other ways, life is long and we
wonder how much and how long we’ll have to struggle through it’s many
challenges. In this second week of Advent, Peter encourages us to have
“Peace” in the midst of Perseverance. As you’ve probably noticed, we
can get through nearly anything so long as inner Peace prevails over
anxiety and weariness. Peace is what Jesus offers us.
