Do You Know Where You Are?

Message: Do You Know Where You Are?

1 Thessalonians 4:13–18 & 1 Corinthians 3:9–15

This Memorial Day message invites us to reconsider the purpose of earthly life by shifting the focus from a passive waiting room to an active, divine construction site where our daily choices contain eternal consequences. Moving past traditional Christian concepts of an afterlife, we’ll take a provocative look at the present life as the actual space and time designated for the purging of our unhelpful, worldly ways. Through the theology of the process of sanctification, we are called to move beyond passive faith and intentionally cooperate as co-workers with God to build a lasting spiritual legacy. Ultimately, we are called to embrace the grueling but beautiful process of personal transformation, ensuring that what we become is a reflection of the character we’ll carry into eternity.
