Mark 16: 1-8 “Death: The Gateway to Life”

In a world with seemingly too much suffering and death, Jesus’ own
life and death become the pattern and promise for our own. The great
paradox is that God brings new life out of death. Over our lifetimes,
we will go through many deaths and many resurrections. Jesus embraces
this pattern and becomes the ultimate Promise revealing that what
seems like the final death is really the gateway to the fullest life
possible. Because of Jesus’ resurrection, we can trust God with all
our deaths and resurrections and for the ultimate Resurrection we will
experience when Jesus comes again to reclaim all of creation for
himself.
