Message: 1 Samuel 16:1-13 “David: Anointing”
The people chose Saul, mainly because he ‘looked kingly.’ David will be chosen by God for a much different reason. In this message we’ll look at some of the unique features of David’s call and anointing. Understanding anointing under the Old Covenant will help us understand our own call under the New Covenant. We’ll also learn how God’s choosing us has nothing to do with our efforts or achievements. Finally, we’ll discover we are called for a purpose.
