Message: 2 Samuel 6:1-5 “David & Worship”
Moses had established a worship system built around making sacrifices for the forgiveness of sins from God and in thankfulness to God. David initiates a second phase of worship which includes singing and all kinds of instruments. The sacrifices ultimately point toward Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice for sins. The worshipful singing helps center our focus on who God is and how He is with us. But both in the Old Testament and the New Testament, the most important aspect of true worship is defined by something else entirely and without this, sacrifices and praises become empty rituals. Come and see how Jesus invites us to worship God.
